Two people have been crushed under a train at Dhalatangor in Kalihati upazila of the district.
The deceased were identified as Babu, 17, and Al-amin, 18. Both hailed from Godagari upazila of Rajshahi district, police said.
Bangabandhu Bridge East police station OC Akheruzzaman said the accident took place around 6:30am Wednesday when Lalmonirhat-bound ‘Lalmoni Express’ from Dhaka hit three people while crossing the rail track, leaving two teenage boys dead on the spot and one injured. Injured Nayeem was admitted to Tangail Medical College Hospital.
