The government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on the occasion of the Victory Day promoted 24 armed forces' personnel to different honorary positions.
Of them, three have been promoted to the post of Honorary Captain while nine to the post of Honorary Lieutenant in the Bangladesh Army and 12 to the post of Honorary Sub-Lieutenant in the Bangladesh Navy.
The promoted Honorary Captains in the Army are: Honorary Lieutenant (OCU) Md Aminul Haque (Artillery), Honorary Lieutenant (Machinist) Md Zakir Hossain Khan (Engineers) and Honorary Lieutenant Md Shafiqul Islam, AEC.
