At least seven people have been killed and 30 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses at Chouddapai under Motihar police station of Rajshahi city.
The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained yet.
Rajshahi Medical College Hospital police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector Mamun said the fatal accident ensued around 1:30pm Tuesday on the Dhaka-Rajshahi highway when a Dhaka-bound bus from the city collided head-on with another bus, leaving three people dead on the spot and 33 others injured.
Four of the injured died on the way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital while the rest got admitted to the hospital.
Being informed, two local fire fighting units rushed in and conducted the rescue operation on the spot.
