A complaint has been filed against National Cricket Team player Anamul Haque Bijoy for allegedly beating and stabbing a 24-year-old man.
Abdul Halim, father of victim Motaleb Hossain Bappy, filed the case with Kushtia Model Police Station on Sunday night, reports UNB.
In the complaint, he said Bijoy’s family have been living at a rented apartment on the first floor of his four-storey building in Aruapara area in Kushtia. They are his tenant for the last four years.
Bijoy’s father Jamil Hossain locked into an altercation with Bappy over a trifling matter on Sunday morning.
Later, Bijoy along with three of his friends went to Kushtia from Dhaka in the evening.
Bijoy and his brother Sajib beat Bappy with a bat and stabbed him with a sharp weapon around 9pm.
Bappy was admitted to Kushtia General Hospital in a critical condition.
Kushtia Model Police Station OC Biplob Kumar Debnath said they will take legal steps after investigating the complaint.
