At least one person has been killed and 12 others injured in a road accident in Milon bazar area of Borhanuddin upazila of the district.
The accident took place on the Bhola-Charfasson regional highway on Sunday morning.
Identity of the dead could not be ascertained yet while four of the injured got admitted to Bhola Sadar Hospital in a critical condition.
Borhanuddin police station Officer-in-Charge Ratan Krishna Roy Chowdhury confirmed it to the Dhaka Tribune and said they recovered the body and seized the bus.
Police and witness sources said a Bhola town-bound speeding bus of Jonaki Paribahan from Tajumuddin brakes failed and hit a roadside tree in the area around 9:30am, leaving its one passenger died instantly and 12 others injured.
