Many are probably acquainted with the fact that Bipasha Hayat possesses a special forte beyond her acting, writing and directing endeavours; a polymorphous artist who has gained reputation and popularity from beyond the border already. Recently, displaying enthusiasm to present her artistic endeavour to the world, she took the initiative to launch a personal website. Mostly, her artworks and information about her art-related programmes would be displayed in the international-standard site.
Talking about her initiative, Bipasha said: “I’ve learned from my experience that a personal website is essential to an artist. Through my website, individuals from home and abroad can easily observe my artwork any time they want.”
“I have also observed in the international art events that people seek a personal website of an artist rather than business cards or contact numbers because they want to know an artist by their artworks. In the past few months, I’ve been gradually preparing for the website,” she added.
Is Hayat placing her painting before her acting in the project? In reply to this question she said: “I don’t prefer to do several works at a time or you can say that I can’t. When I am in the mood for art, then I do that and it is the same for acting, direction or other things, but I do not disregard anything. I have tried to present my acting, directing endeavours in the website as well but the focus is on art.”
Hayat informed that it would take some time to finalise the website and it might formally open this month. The address is www.bipashahayat.com.
As a matter of fact, Hayat studied painting and drawing at the Institute of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka. Her first solo art exhibition was held in 2011 titled “The Journey Within.” Later, she exhibited two of her other solo exhibitions titled “Journey to the Unseen” and “Faces of Agony” respectively. Her latest and fourth solo exhibition “Realms of Memory” exhibited this year. Besides, she has taken part in a few international art exhibitions held in North America and Vietnam as well.
