Police have detained a drug peddler with 3,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Tongi area in Gazipur.
Sadek Ali was detained with the yaba tablets on Monday night. He is the son of Amir Hossain of Cox's Bazar.
Tongi OC Firoz Talukdar said: “Acting on a tip-off, we conducted a drive in Natun Bazar area and detained Sadek with the yaba tablets.”
He said a case has been filed with the police station regarding the matter.
