The cabinet has given final nod to the draft of Bangladesh Bridges Authority Act 2015.
The approval came at the regular meeting of the cabinet held on Monday at Bangladesh Secretariat with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.
Following the act Bangladesh Bridges Authority will construct, operate and maintain the bridges with 1500-metre length or more, said Cabinet Secretary Md Shafiul Alam.
He was briefing reporters after the meeting.
