Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal yesterday asked the Ulema society to remain alert against international conspiracy as they are trying to turn the country into a failed state.
“When any incident takes place here, the message is relayed to America via Middle East within five minutes, then another message is released through website of ‘SITE’ claiming that ‘IS’ was involved in the incident,” the Home Minister said while addressing a meeting with Imams and Ulemas in the city’s Kamrangichar.
“Though there is no organisation named IS, there are activities of IS, they claimed that IS was behind the incident,” the home minister said.
After Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, Libya and Syria, Bangladesh is now a target of international conspiracy, he said, adding that the law-enforcing agencies are alert in this regard.
He also urged the Ulema society to convey the massage against militants as well as Islamic extremist groups through their Khudba during Jumma prayer.
