4 get death sentence in Keraniganj murder case

A Dhaka court has awarded death penalty to four people for killing four members of a family in the capital’s south Keraniganj in 2014.

Dhaka District and Session Judge SM Kuddus Zaman gave the verdict on Thursday afternoon.

5 JMB men held suspecting involvement in Hussaini Dalan

Police have arrested five members of militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) for their alleged involvement in various subversive activities including bomb attacks at the Shia headquarters, Hussaini Dalan, in Dhaka.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), joint commissioner Monirul Islam told media in a press conference on Thursday.

2 Bangladeshis killed in BSF firing

Two Bangladeshi nationals have been killed as members of Indian Border Security Force (BSF) opened fire on them in India's Tarali area opposite to Taluigachha border in Satkhira.

The deceased are Md Nazrul Islam, son of Sher Ali Biswas of Pancharki village and Abdul Khalek Sarder, of Kakdanga village.
