Nestle Nutrition Institute organised the grand finale of Nutrition Nightingale, an inter-institute quiz competition at the The Westin in Dhaka.
Paramedics from five key institutes and hospitals took part in the semifinal round.
As part of the NNI’s educational initiatives the competition was aimed to evaluate and raise awareness on the knowledge level of paramedics areas of expertise.
The competition started on November 4 with 10 institutes and hospitals. Out of those 10 institutes, five hospitals Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Central Hospital, Square Hospitals and Aichi Medical College & Hospital made it to the final round.
Eventually, Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College & Hospital became triumphant.
Information Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister, Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury was present as the chief guest in the event.
After congratulating the winner, he requested hospitals to increase nutrition facilities in every level. If awareness about nutrition would reach every corner of the country, the country can advance as a healthy nation, he added.
Chaired by Shuriya Begum, Registrar of Bangladesh Nursing Council, the programme was also attended by Nestle Bangladesh MD Stephane Norde, Nutrition Director Luke John Gomes.
