Five people have been killed and another has been injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Foteypur area under Laksam upazila of Comilla district.
The deceased are Jashim Uddin, 30, of Rajapur village, Nasrin, 24, daughter of Ali Akkas of the same village, Mohsena Akhter, 25, wife of Johir Uddin and Rozena Akhter, 20.
Laksam OC Manowar Hossain Chowdhury said the accident took place around 7am Tuesday.
He said: “Of the deceased, three of them died on the spot while two others died at Laksam Health Complex.”
