Executed war criminal Salauddin Quader Chowdhury has been buried at his ancestral home in Raozan upazila of Chittagong district.
The BNP leader was hanged around 12:55am Sunday for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
He was buried in their family graveyard around 9:28am after a namaz-e-janaza.
According to Salauddin's last wish the janaza was administered by Hefazat-e-Islam Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer Mohibullah Babunagari.
Earlier, the ambulance carrying the body of the war criminal arrived in Raozan around 9:05am.
The six-time lawmaker was awarded death penalty on October 1, 2013 for committing crimes against humanity including genocide and torture of freedom fighters and Hindus in Chittagong’s Raozan area. The Appellate Division upheld his sentence on July 29 this year.
