The Dhaka Central Jail authorities have taken all preparations to execute the death-row war crimes convicts Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid and Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
Deputy Inspector General (Prison) Golam Haider told the Dhaka Tribune that a seven-member team of hangmen led by Shahjahan is ready to execute the order.
Other hangmen are Raju, Iqbal, Abul, Masud, Hazrat and Moktar.
The DIG said execution would be done in three hours of receiving the order.
A civil surgeon, DC of Lalbagh zone, a representative of deputy commissioner of Dhaka, a commissioner of DMP are also ready to carry out the death execution.
DC Mofizuddin Ahmed of Lalbagh zone said securities had been beefed up in and around the Dhaka Central jail.
