Former state minister for home Lutfozzaman Babar has been taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for medical checkup.
A team of police along with the death row convict in Chittagong arms haul case started from Kashimpur Jail-1 around 8am Saturday.
He reached the DMCH around 12 noon for medical checkup and better treatment, said DMCH residential surgeon Dr Raj Datta.
Subrata Kumar Bala, jail super of Kashimpur Jail-1 said: “He has been taken to the DMCH for better treatment as the physicians of the jail advised so.”
Earlier on November 16, Babar was taken to Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital in Gazipur for a check-up.
A four-member medical board was set up for his treatment.
He is suffering from back pain as well as breathing and abdominal problems.
Babar is among the 32 indicted for the murder case of Awami League leader and former finance minister SAMS Kibria.
