A smartphone has apparently saved a man’s life during Friday's terror attacks that scarred the citizens of Paris.
The story in focus took place at the Stade de France stadium, where the soccer match was going on between France and Germany. French President Francois Hollande was also present in the stadium.
According to Media report, the lucky man, Sylvester, was hanging outside the sports arena on that fateful day.
A “fragment” of the exploded bomb reportedly hit him. But his handset took the major brunt and left him with only minor injuries and in the process, saved his life.
Even though, the smartphone was gravely damaged, Sylvester narrowly escaped the attack.
In an interview with Reuters, Sylvester showed his damaged smartphone and described how it saved his life.
Sylvestre said that he was outside the Stade de France when a bomb blast hit during a football match between France and Germany.
Showing the smartphone, he told the camera man "This is the cell phone that took the hit, it saved me. Otherwise my head would have been blown to bits."
The Frenchman was also shot in the foot and a bullet brushed his torso.
A media report on Monday said the phone, based on the design of its front screen, appears to be Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Friday night attack in Paris, coordinated by eight IS terrorists, claimed 132 lives and injured several others.
