Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s scheduled visit to France to attend Leaders’ Forum by Unesco on November 16-17 has been cancelled.
A senior official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the Bangla Tribune, a sister concern of Dhaka Tribune.
The PM was scheduled to leave Dhaka on Monday.
Unesco is celebrating the 70th anniversary of the adoption of its constitution.
During her visit, the PM was expected to meet Bangladesh envoys posted in European countries on November 17 in Paris in an effort to boost Bangladesh’s ties with Europe.
However, the PM is likely to attend climate summit to be held in Paris from November 30 to December 4, the official added.
