Update : 14 Nov 2015, 07:33 AM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned the series of terrorist attacks in Paris that killed at least 120 people and left many others injured.

She came up with the condemnation in a condolence message sent to French President Francois Hollande on Saturday, reports BSS.

Hasina said: "I am deeply shocked by the series of terrorist attacks in Paris that killed so many innocent people and left many others injured. I along with the people and the government of Bangladesh strongly condemn these acts of terror and stand in solidarity with the people and the government of France."

She vowed to work together with France to fight terrorism and violent extremism.

The prime minister said terrorists are terrorists irrespective of their colour, creed of religion and must have no place in any civilized society.

"We are together in our fight against terrorism and violent extremism."

"I express our deepest condolences to you and through you to the people of France our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving families. May the departed souls rest in eternal peace," she added.

At least 120 people were killed in a series of terror attacks in Paris on Friday according to a provisional total, a source close to the investigation said.
