A fire has broken out at the office of Bangladesh House Building Financial Corporation at Purana Paltan in Dhaka.
The fire originated on the fourth floor of the 10-storey building around 1:20pm Thursday.
Fire Service Headquarters duty office Atikur Alam Chowdhury said: “Five units from the fire service went to the spot and brought the blaze under control after a frantic effort of an hour.
“We are anticipating that the fire might have originated from a cigarette in a dust bean.”
