Former finance minister Shah AMS Kibria's wife Asma Kibria has died at a city hospital on Monday morning. She was 78.
State Minister for Post and Telecommunication Tarana Halim, who is also the deceased’s niece, said: "She breathed her last at United Hospital around 9am Monday."
The namaz-e-janaza of Asma Kibria will be held after Asr prayers at Azad mosque in Gulshan.
She will be buried at Banani Graveyard.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed profound shock at the demise of Asma Kibria. In a message of condolence, she conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
