The National Board of Revenue has conditionally exempted the ENT and Head Neck Cancer Hospital and Institute from paying tax on earnings.
But the hospital will have to keep 30% of its seats reserved for poor patients to get tax exemption facility, according to a gazette notification signed by NBR Chairman Nojibur Rahman on Wednesday.
As per the condition, the financially insolvent patients will be provided with free-of-charge admission, accommodation, outdoor consultation, pathological service, surgery and other medical facilities.
The hospital will have to prepare quarterly reports with detail information on services provided and submit to respective deputy tax commissioners.
