Update : 30 Oct 2015, 08:04 PM

The 6th DBBL Bangladesh Physics Olympiad was held in Chittagong yesterday.

Eminent writer Professor Muhammed Zafar Iqbal inaugurated the divisional festival and competition at Shah Alam Bir Uttam Auditorium of Chittagong Medical College at 11am.

Addressing as the chief guest, he said: “Human brain is the most important and precious thing in the world. You should question yourself that how much do you use it?”

“I suggest that you make the best use of your brain through practice. Read text books and think more. Do not waste your valuable time in coaching classes and reading guide books,” he said.

The popular science fiction writer and educationist answered queries of the students. He said: “Those who pass exams where questions are leaked, will never succeed in life.”

Sixty students were screened out of around a thousand students who took part in the written test from different schools and colleges of Chittagong. A rally was brought out from the Presidency International School Chittagong after conclusion of the written test.

Students of grade seven to twelve took part in the competition under three categories. Winners will take part in the finals to be held in Dhaka University on December 28 and 29.
