A seven-year-old school girl has been hacked to death in Chakpara Morol Market area under Mawna upazila of Gazipur district.

Naznin Akter, daughter of Akkas Ali and a class I student of Chakpara Primary School.

4 BNP-Jamaat men held with crude bombs in Sirajganj

Police have detained four local activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami with five crude bombs from a madrasa ground in Krishakganj Bazar area under Ullahpara upazila in Sirajganj.

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have seized nine sacks of Indian smuggled tea and a sack of fireworks from Putkhali border of Benapole.

China naval chief: Minor incident could spark war in South China Sea

If the United States continues with its "dangerous and provocative acts" in the South China Sea there is a risk this could lead to "a minor incident that sparks war", China's naval commander told his US counterpart in a teleconference.

Admiral Wu Shengli made the comments to US chief of naval operations Admiral John Richardson during a video teleconference on Thursday, according to a statement released by the Chinese navy on Friday.
