Tariq Anam Khan made his debut screenplay recently for an animated feature film, Detective. It is a detective thriller based on a short story written by Rabindranath Tagore. Earlier, Tariq Anam Khan dramatised a good number of stories for theatres as well as TV shows.
Previously, he adapted Detective as a stage show but eventually decided to turn it into an animated film, which will be produced by Jaaz Multimedia.
Abdul Aziz, chief of Jaaz Multimedia, said: “It will be the country’s first full length animated feature film. We always believe in innovation. Our sole purpose of this project is to shed light on Rabindranath Tagore’s work for the next generation to experience.”
There will be a few surprising elements in this film. Two leading actors of the country will give voice to the characters, which are yet to be revealed. This film has been directed and animated by Tapon Ahmed and edited by Tapon Ahmed and Touhid Hussain Chowdhury.
Approximate date of the film’s release is next year.
