At least six people, including three members of a family, have been killed when a passenger train rammed into an autorickshaw at a level crossing in the district's Melandah.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The incident took place when a Dhaka-bound commuter train-2 rammed into a three wheeler at Nayanagar rail-crossing in Melandah around 2:10pm Monday, said OC Nasimul Islam of Melandaha police station.
He said: “Two more people received injuries in the accident.”
