European Union Ambassador to Bangladesh Pierre Mayaudon has firmly condemned the bomb attack on the Shia community gathering in Old Dhaka on the occasion of Ashura.
He conveys his condolences to the family of the deceased and expresses his sympathy to all victims, said a EU embassy press release.

Mayaudon is confident that Bangladesh will respond with the highest sense of unity to this unprecedented act of violence.
He urges all relevant official authorities to ensure thorough investigation and bring the perpetrators of this crime to justice.
