Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have rescued a college student from Kazla Gate area in Rajshahi, three days after his abduction.
Nadim Mahmud,17, is the son of Abul Hasem of Kandivitua Moholla in Natore and a student of NS College in the district.
RAB 5 Company Commander Jamal Al Naser said: “Nadim went missing on Sunday. He was rescued after the kidnappers left him at Kazla Gate on Tuesday evening.
“Following the information given by Nadim, we detained Tipu Sultan Apu, 24, from his residence on Wednesday afternoon.”
The RAB official said the kidnappers had demanded Tk3.6 lakh from his father as a ransom.
