Four people have been killed when their CNG-run autorickshaw was ran over by an unknown vehicle in the district's Siddhirganj area.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Siddhirganj police station SI Masud Alam said: “Locals noticed the smashed autorickshaw and the bodies of the victims on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in the morning and informed the police.
“A team of police visited the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies have been kept at Narayanganj General Hospital.”
The police official further said: “We are estimating that the autorickshaw was knocked by a heavy vehicle sometimes on Tuesday night.”
