Export and import activities at different land ports will remain suspended for different periods on the occasions of Durga Puja and holy Ashura.
Benapole Land Port in Jessore goes on a five-day vacation from today while Burimari Land Port in Lalmonirhat began an eight-day vacation yesterday.
Akhaura Land Port in Brahmanbaria has been shut down for 10 days and Hili Land Port in Dinajpur closed for eight days from Sunday. Hili will resume works next Monday.
In Chapainawabganj the Sonamasjid Land Port went into a six-day suspension of works from yesterday.
However, the land ports will remain open for passengers movement through the immigration posts under special arrangements.
