An attempt to rape case has been filed against Omor Faruk, OC (Investigation) of Boalkhali police station in Chittagong.
The case was filed with Women and Child Repression Tribunal 1 on Monday afternoon.
Lawyer Advocate Rezaul Karim said: “The victim filed a rape case with the police station few months ago and Omor was investigating the case. During the investigation, he gave unethical proposals to the girl.
“The OC went on a picnic with the victim and her family members to Petenga Beach on July 27 and tried to rape her but failed. He then asked the girl to meet him Barighata area to discuss about the case on October 15 and again tried to rape her.”
Order regarding the case will be given later in the day.
