A farmer has been killed in an attack by his rival over planting tree near a cultivation field.
Jahangir Sheikh, 55, of Suktail Uttarpara village, died while being taken to Dhaka on Sunday night.
Victim's wife Shefali Begum filed a case with Gopalganj sadar police station in this connection.
Gopalganj sadar police station OC Selim Reza said Nasir was planting tree on the side of a cultivation land on Sunday morning when Jahangir Sheikh obstructed him.
"At one stage of altercation between the duo, Nasir attacked Jahangir with a crowbar, leaving him seriously injured," said the OC.
He was first admitted to Gopalganj 250-bed Hospital. Later, he died on the way to Dhaka.
