The government has approved the draft detailed design of the Dhaka-Chittagong expressway, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said.
The minister made the disclosure at his secretariat office on Thursday morning.
The project of Tk40,000 crore will be completed under Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiative, said Quader.
The 198-km Dhaka-Chittagong expressway will begin from Kanchpur of Narayanganj and 30% of the expressway will be elevated, the minister added.
