Medical admission seekers demand probe

Update : 10 Oct 2015, 07:22 PM

Agitating students and guardians yesterday asked the health minister to form an independent commission to properly investigate the leakage of medical and dental admission questions.

Demonstrating since September 19, the students produced evidence of question leakage before reporters during a press conference at the National Press Club. They claimed that at least 77 questions were similar to the question paper leaked on Facebook a day before the exam.

Coordinator of a committee that comprises students and guardians Asef Bin Taki said: “We have documents that the questions were available on social media before the exam day. The allegations will be proved if a commission is formed.”

He also said that Health Minister Mohammad Nasim wanted to sit with the agitating students. But the meeting should be held in presence of the journalists, he added.

Another coordinator Khaled Saifullah urged the government to deploy a team of IT specialists for inspecting the documents.

In the morning, the protesters gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar and staged demonstrations demanding that the admission test be taken again.

They also announced a sit-in programme at the same place for today.
