Nestle inaugurates breastfeeding room and nutrition science fair

Nestlé Bangladesh Limited has initiated a launch of 1,000 breastfeeding corners nationwide to ensure healthy growth for children.

As part of the initiative, Nestlé Bangladesh Limited inaugurated a breastfeeding room at Deep Clinic & Diagnostic Centre in Savar. Professor Syed Modasser Ali, ex-adviser to the Prime Minister, local MP Dr Enamur Rahman and regional business head of Nestlé Nutrition, Binu Jacob, inaugurated the breastfeeding room with other Nestlé Bangladesh officials attending the event. On the same day, Nestlé Bangladesh organised a Nutrition Science Fair at Savar Golf Club.

Nestlé Bangladesh has installed 65 lactation corners so far in different parts of the country, including Dhaka National Medical Hospital, Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital, Chittagong Medical College and Hospital, Jameson Red Crescent Maternity Hospital, Bhola Sadar Hospital, Madaripur Sadar Hospital, Tangail Medical College and Hospital, Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital and Christian Mission Hospital in Brahmanbaria.

The fair was organised to enhance knowledge and skills of paramedics in Bangladesh. The fair took place in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rangpur, Barisal, Khulna, Jessore, and Sylhet. 3,000 paramedics from all over Bangladesh were trained during the fair.
