Two readymade garment workers have been killed when a train knocked them down from behind while they were walking on a railway bridge.
The deceased are-- speech and hearing impaired Md Ramjan Ali, 28, and Parvez, 27.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Dadan Mia of Joydebpur Railway Police outpost told the Dhaka Tribune: “The incident occurred when they were walking on the railway track on the Jamalpur Commuter Bhurulia Rail Bridge around 7:30am Friday.
“After the train knocked them down, they fell into a roadside ditch and died on the spot.”
They went outside for a walk after taking part in a Tabligh sermon at Bhurulia’s Markas Mosque, said the official.
