Pahari Chhatra Parishad, an indigenous student organisation backed by Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti, yesterday observed strike at the schools and colleges of the Chittagong Hill Tracts demanding quick implementation of the 1997 Peace Accord.
The strike was enforced in Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban as part of the non-cooperation movement launched by PCJSS.
PCJSS Spokesperson Sajib Chakma said that the PCP activists also held processions and rallies in Dhaka, Rajshahi and Chittagong urging the government to declare a timeline for materialising the Peace Accord.
No untoward incidents were reported during the strike, he said.
