Two people have been killed and five others injured as a bus collided with a covered van at at Hijoltola under Kaliakoir upazila in Gazipur.
Gorai highway OC Humayun Kabir said: “A Dhaka-bound bus collided with a covered van coming from the opposite direction at Hijoltola around 6:15am Tuesday, killing one on the spot and injuring five others.”
He said one of the injured died while being taken to the hospital. The injured have been admitted to Kaliakoir upazila health complex.
