Leaders of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) have demanded formation of 9th wage board for journalists and employees.
The DUJ leaders made the call at a post-human chain rally in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Sunday with DUJ president Elahi Nawaz Khan Saju in the chair.
They also urged the authorities concerned to implement the 8th wage board award, reports BSS.
The rally was also addressed, among others, by DUJ general secretary Khairul Alam Bakul, vice president of Jatiya Press Club Amirul Islam Kagoji, DUJ ex-general secretary Sardar Farid Ahmad, DUJ senior vice president Mahfuzur Rahman, Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) executive member Syed Mejbahuddin Ahmed and DUJ vice president Alimuzzaman Harun.
DUJ joint secretary Abdullah Ferdous conducted the rally.
