At least six people have been killed when a bus hit a stationed truck at Jalalpur under Nabiganj upazila of Habiganj.
Twenty others were also injured in the accident that took place around 10pm Friday.
Of the deceased four were identified as Army official Abu Sayeed, 30, Mursheda Begum, 40, her son Mehedi, 4, Arif Mia, 20.
Sherpur highway police station In-Charge Nurunnabi Sarkar said: "A brick-loaded truck was stationed beside Dhaka-Sylhet highway due to technical glitches on Friday night. In the meantime, a speedy bus hit the truck that left three passengers of the vehicle dead on the spot."
The injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital where three others died.
