A Jubo League activist has been hacked to death at Sonagaji of Feni.
The deceased is Gias Uddin, 28, son of Abu Hashem of Charchandia village.
Sonagaji Model police station OC Harun-or-Rashid said Gias engaged in an altercation with a local shopkeeper over dues.
The shopkeeper sent a person to Gias's house to bring him to his shop around 10:30pm Thursday. Gias was hacked at one stage of altercation. He was rushed to Feni sadar hospital where he died around 12 midnight.
Following the incident, police detained two persons -- Main Uddin and Dolon -- on Friday morning.
