Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested three persons with arms and ammunition from Muradpur in Kodomtoili area in Dhaka.
The arrestees are Shakil, Shumon and Bappi. They are the residents of Jatrabari.
RAB 10 Assistant Superintendent of Police Raselur Rahman said: “They were arrested from the area around 1am Friday.”
He said two foreign made pistols, nine bullets, and three magazines were recovered from their possession.
The RAB official said: “They have been engaged with hijacking for a long time. They even give the arms on rent.”
