An unidentified woman of around 45 years of age has been killed near Bhogra bypass intersection on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway in Gazipur on Wednesday.
Sub-inspector (SI) Bahar Alam of Gazipur Highway police said the woman was standing on the roadside.
A Sherpur-bound bus of Dreamland Paribahan ran over the woman while it was illegally overtaking other vehicles. She died on the spot.
The bus was seized and driver was arrested after the accident.
