Earlier on August 13, another Dhaka court accepted the charge sheet against Rony in a case filed over the killing of two people in Dhaka’s Dilu Road.
On July 21, DB Sub-Inspector Dipak Kumar Das, also investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet in the court under section 302 of the penal code. A total 37 people have been made prosecution witnesses, said the investigation officer.
According to the charge sheet, Rony, while in a drunken stupor, indiscriminately fired gunshots from his car near Dilu Road on April 13, leaving two people — rickshaw-puller Abdul Hakim and daily Janakantha’s auto-rickshaw driver Yakub — injured.
