Members of Rapid Action Battalion have arrested five people with 5,40,000 pieces of yaba pills from Siddhirganj area in Narayanganj.
Of the arrestees, one was identified as drug dealer Monjur Alam.
RAB 2 acting commanding office Syed Salauddin Mahmud confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “Five passports, a private car and Tk3.44 lakh were seized in the drive conducted from 9pm Sunday till the midnight.”
The money was gained after selling yaba pills, added the RAB official.
Details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing later in the day.
