Telenor launches instant messaging app for Bangladeshi users

Telenor Digital has announced the launch of its Instant Messaging (IM) app Comoyo yesterday at a press conference held at Lakeshore hotel in Dhaka.

The IM app will serve the Bangladeshi customers with tailored features including Bangla stickers targeting the local youth culture.

The service will be free of charge and have not internet cost.

“Comoyo is one of the results of our tireless endeavors to make internet fun and productive for the Bangladeshi users,” said Frode E Vestnes, vice president of Telenor Digital.

Mohammad Muntasir Hossain, general manager at Digital & Devise of Grameenphone, said: “We are excited to be the associated with Comoyo to drive our ‘Internet for All’ promise where we look to facilitate and make internet usage easy and accessible for everyone.”

He said Bangladeshi youngsters had already adopted different communication tools in their day-to-day lives, but many users still felt there was something missing.
