A three-member probe body has been formed on Saturday to investigate into Friday's untoward incident at Tangail that left three people killed in police firing.
Additional DIG (Discipline) Mohammad Alamgir Khan was made chief of the probe body, reports BSS.
The other enquiry committee members are: additional police super of Dhaka Range Mohammad Akhtaruzzaman and additional police super of Tangail district Md Aslam Khan.
The investigation committee has been asked to submit its report within next seven days.
Three people were killed in Kalihati upazila of Tangail on Friday afternoon as police opened fire during a clash with locals protesting the brutal assault of a woman and her son.
