At least two people have been recovered from Keuta Ghat area in Mithamoin upazila of Kishoreganj on Wednesday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sohel Mia, 30, son of Jamal Mia, and Md Aftab Mia, 50, son of late Abdul Hay.
Md Kamrul Islam Molla, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Austagram police station said, on information, police rushed to the spot and recovered two bodies.
Police were trying to trace the missing another with the help of locals, he added.
On Tuesday morning, three people went missing as a trawler capsized at Kakuria Haor in Austagram upazila of Kishoreganj district.
The missing people were Md Aftab Mia, 50, son of late Abdul Hay, Sohel Mia, 30, son of Jamal Mia, and Rajab Ali, 45, of Kolapara village in Mithamoin upazila.
Police and local sources said the incident occurred while a trawler numbering 15/20 passengers sank around 4: 30am at Kakuria haor area in Austagram due to strong wind.
The people were returning home at Ghagra area in Mithamoin upazila after attending a religious festival (Urs) from Purba Austagram area in Austagram upazila, leaving 3 people missing at the spot.
However, the other passengers somehow managed to ashore.
