A forest beat officer was severely injured after a group of miscreants attacked him with sharp weapons in Fulbaria upazila, Mymensingh on Sunday night.
The victim, Solaiman Miah, was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in critical condition. Police has arrested forest guard Yousuf Ali in connection with the attack.
Sources said a group of five or six miscreants attacked Solaiman and hacked him near Santoshpur beat office around 10:30pm on Sunday. Being informed, police later went to the scene and took Solaiman to the MMCH.
