Detective Branch (DB) of police have detained seven suspected members of banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir from Khilkhet area in Dhaka.
The identities of the detainees could not be ascertained yet.
A team of DB's cyber crime unit conducted a driver and detained them on Saturday night.
Montasirul Islam, deputy commissioner of DMP, confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said details regarding the matter will be disclosed in a press briefing around 11am Sunday.
