Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed profound shock and grief at the loss of lives of more than a hundred people in a gas cylinder explosion at a restaurant in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
PM's press secretary Ihsanul Karim said the prime minister in a message of condolence said the extent of damage and loss of lives in the gas cylinder accident is unthinkable and shocking.
Sheikh Hasina prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls of those who were killed in the explosion and expressed her heartfelt sympathy to the members of the bereaved families.
She also prayed for early recovery of the injured people and sought blessings of the almighty to give strength to the families of the victims to bear the irreparable loss with fortitude.
At least 104 people died when a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a packed restaurant in central Madhya Pradesh state of India in the morning.
